Radiation Therapist - Huntersville, NC

Deliver vital care as a Radiation Therapist, providing essential treatment and support for patients undergoing cancer therapy. Qualifications & Experience:

• Successful completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent)
• Active state license to practice as a Radiation Therapist
• Proficiency with linear accelerators and radiation therapy technologies
• Knowledge of radiation safety standards and quality assurance procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation abilities
• Previous clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients according to physician instructions
• Position patients for treatment; ensure comfort and correct alignment for optimal therapy outcomes
• Operate and monitor complex radiation equipment and adhere to safety protocols throughout procedures
• Maintain detailed, timely records in compliance with healthcare regulations and department policies
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, nurses, and other team members for coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, possible side effects, and response expectations
• Regularly assess treatment areas for patient response and report any concerns to the attending physician
