Qualifications:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required
  • Valid state license as a Radiation Therapist, or eligibility to obtain
  • Demonstrated experience operating radiation therapy equipment
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and quality assurance protocols
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Attention to detail, with a compassionate approach to patient care

Responsibilities:

  • Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Verify patient identity, review treatment plans, and ensure correct dosage delivery
  • Operate and maintain advanced linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
  • Monitor patients during treatment for safety and comfort, addressing concerns as appropriate
  • Maintain meticulous records of treatment sessions, doses, and patient progress
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nurses to ensure cohesive, high-quality care
  • Adhere to all regulatory, hospital, and departmental safety protocols
