Qualifications:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required
- Valid state license as a Radiation Therapist, or eligibility to obtain
- Demonstrated experience operating radiation therapy equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and quality assurance protocols
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Attention to detail, with a compassionate approach to patient care
Responsibilities:
- Administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Verify patient identity, review treatment plans, and ensure correct dosage delivery
- Operate and maintain advanced linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
- Monitor patients during treatment for safety and comfort, addressing concerns as appropriate
- Maintain meticulous records of treatment sessions, doses, and patient progress
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nurses to ensure cohesive, high-quality care
- Adhere to all regulatory, hospital, and departmental safety protocols
