Deliver advanced patient care as a skilled Radiation Therapist. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to oncology teams by performing critical radiation therapy procedures. Key Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT certification required)
- Practical experience operating linear accelerators and related radiation therapy equipment
- Proficiency in treatment planning systems and understanding of radiation safety guidelines
- Ability to follow physician instructions and detailed protocols with precision
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide comfort and clear communication to patients
- Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately record and maintain patient records
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation as directed by physicians
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns
- Calibrate and operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
- Monitor patient reactions during and after treatments, reporting any side effects or complications
- Maintain thorough documentation and assist with quality assurance checks
- Work collaboratively with oncology teams in delivering coordinated, high-standard care
- Observe strict protocols for radiation protection for both patients and staff
