Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT certification as a Radiation Therapist
- Current state licensure as required
- Previous experience with modern linear accelerators
- Sound understanding of treatment planning and radiation safety
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and medical physicists
Responsibilities:
- Administer precise radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Operate, calibrate, and monitor radiation therapy equipment
- Prepare and position patients accurately for each treatment session
- Document treatment details and maintain accurate electronic health records
- Monitor patients’ responses, reporting any side effects or unusual outcomes
- Uphold strict safety protocols for both patients and staff
- Provide educational support and reassurance to patients and their families
- Participate in quality assurance and equipment maintenance activities
