A travel opportunity is available for a Radiation Therapist with a minimum of one year of experience, licensed in Ohio and certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). This 13-week assignment offers the chance to work within a specialized oncology setting, delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Location
Situated in Lorain, OH, this position provides exposure to a community-focused cancer center known for compassionate patient care and advanced treatment techniques. Lorain offers a welcoming environment with easy access to regional amenities and natural attractions, balancing professional growth with a pleasant living experience.

Schedule/Hours

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Occasional morning QA shifts from 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • No weekends or on-call responsibilities required

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed doses of ionizing radiation accurately and safely, collaborating closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists
  • Assist in tumor localization and participate in treatment planning
  • Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, quality assurance, and patient care
  • Monitor patient responses and side effects, communicating effectively with physicians when needed
  • Utilize CT/Sim, HDR brachytherapy, Elekta systems, IMPAC, and other relevant technologies
  • Provide patient education on skin care, nutrition, and self-care during treatment
  • Uphold radiation safety standards and participate in continuous educational activities

Desired Qualifications

  • Ohio Radiology License and current BLS certification
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in radiation therapy
  • Experience with Elekta equipment and HDR brachytherapy is a definite plus
  • Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills
