Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent)
  • Valid professional license and registration required
  • Proven experience working as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical or hospital environment
  • Deep understanding of radiation oncology procedures, safety protocols, and treatment planning
  • Strong knowledge of treatment machines (linear accelerators, simulators, etc.)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow physician prescriptions
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to manage time effectively and remain calm in fast-paced situations

Schedule:

  • Contract position, immediate start (ASAP)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy to patients as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety at every step
  • Prepare treatment area and equipment, verifying proper settings prior to procedures
  • Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, and nurses for coordinated patient care
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy, reporting any notable findings or needs for adjustment
  • Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to regulatory compliance and confidentiality standards
  • Provide patient education on treatment expectations, side effects, and at-home care recommendations
  • Uphold all infection control measures and maintain a safe clinical environment
