Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely under physician direction
- Operate linear accelerators and simulation equipment with precision
- Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions, providing compassionate support throughout treatment
- Maintain accurate treatment records, charts, and compliance with regulatory documentation
- Coordinate seamlessly with physicians, dosimetrists, nurses, and fellow therapists to ensure comprehensive cancer care
- Educate and inform patients and families about the treatment process and expectations
- Uphold safety practices for patients and staff, adhering to facility policies and industry protocols
Requirements:
- Valid Radiation Therapist license or certification (ARRT or equivalent)
- Proven experience in delivering clinical radiation therapy
- Demonstrated proficiency in treatment planning and equipment operation
- Exceptional communication skills for patient education and teamwork
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for documentation and patient monitoring
- Current BLS certification
