Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT).
• Demonstrated experience with linear accelerators and advanced treatment technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of radiation safety standards and protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in treatment delivery and documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, supporting collaborative patient care.
• Ability to provide emotional support to patients throughout the treatment process.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for radiation therapy procedures according to prescribed plans.
• Administer targeted radiation treatments as ordered by the oncology team, adhering to clinical guidelines.
• Monitor patient reactions and document any changes or side effects, reporting as necessary.
• Maintain and operate radiation therapy equipment, troubleshooting minor technical issues.
• Comply with all relevant patient safety and infection control practices.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, dosimetrists, nurses, and physicists to ensure optimal care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and treatment notes.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and what to expect during treatment.
