Job Description

Soliant is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment in Napa, California. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Radiation Oncology department within an acute care facility while working with advanced treatment technologies and a diverse oncology patient population.

This department treats approximately 20 patients per machine daily and provides care primarily for adult and geriatric patients. Therapists will have the opportunity to work with advanced treatment techniques including SRS, SBRT, TomoTherapy, respiratory gating, and stereotactic radiosurgery, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary oncology team dedicated to exceptional patient care.

The facility welcomes both experienced travelers and first-time travelers. Candidates with at least one year of Radiation Therapy experience are encouraged to apply. Pending California licenses will be considered during the interview process.

Compensation

Weekly pay: Approximately $2,800
Includes untaxed stipends for eligible travelers

Schedule

  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week
  • 40 hours per week
  • No block scheduling
  • Weekend call required on a rotating basis (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Requirements

  • ARRT (T) Certification required
  • State Radiation Therapy License required
  • California State License preferred
  • Pending California licenses accepted

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to physician directives
  • Perform patient setup, positioning, and treatment verification
  • Utilize CBCT, kV, and mV imaging for treatment accuracy
  • Deliver treatments using advanced techniques including SRS, SBRT, and respiratory gating
  • Assist with dosimetry-related procedures as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
  • Follow radiation safety standards and departmental protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and clinical staff

  • Beam modifying and patient positioning techniques
  • CBCT, kV, and mV imaging proficiency
  • Dosimetry knowledge
  • SRS and SBRT treatment delivery
  • Respiratory gating procedures
  • Electron field experience
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced oncology environment

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience required
  • Acute care experience preferred
  • Adult outpatient oncology experience preferred
  • Experience with stereotactic procedures preferred
