In this Radiation Therapist role, you’ll expand your expertise working with a diverse patient population and some of the latest radiology technology—including Elekta Versas, Varian HDR, and the soon-to-be-installed Radixact. By joining the dynamic team on a 13-week assignment, you’ll gain invaluable experience practicing in an award-winning healthcare organization recognized for safety and patient care innovation. Collaborate with experienced professionals, see different workflows first-hand, and enhance your resume with skills relevant to future leadership roles.

Schedule / Hours:

  • Days: 5x8 (8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00, dependent on patient load)
  • 36 hours weekly guarantee
  • No weekends
  • No call requirements

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid ARRT and RRA certifications
  • BLS from AHA required
  • Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiation Therapy experience
  • Professional, team-oriented communication skills
  • Experience with linac treatments including patient set-up and imaging; on-the-job Elekta workflow training available
  • Flu vaccination (or Mercy approved exemption) required between November 1–April 1

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments
  • Operate a range of advanced treatment equipment and EMRs (Mosiaq, EPIC)
  • Collaborate as an integral member of the Radiation Therapy Treatment Team
  • Maintain high standards in patient safety and care
