Schedule/Hours:
- Full time: Four 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- Weekend shifts required only in emergencies
- On-call only for rare radiation emergencies (usually before or after regular shifts)
- Holiday coverage as needed when clinic is open
Key Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in radiation oncology
- ARRT certification with radiation therapy registry
- Proven ability to follow treatment protocols and operate advanced equipment
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Commitment to professional conduct, collaboration, and high-quality care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed and verify provider orders
- Operate simulators, treatment planning, and radiation equipment in line with departmental procedures
- Educate patients and families on their procedures and what to expect throughout treatment
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment
- Monitor, document, and report on patient responses and progress as needed
