Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist from an accredited program
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• State licensure to practice as a Radiation Therapist, as applicable
• Proven experience administering prescribed radiation treatments
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and quality assurance in a radiation therapy setting
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately deliver radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by Radiation Oncologists
• Operate and monitor advanced radiation equipment, following all safety protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicists, dosimetrists, and nurses to optimize patient care plans
• Document patient treatment records and report any unusual reactions or complications
• Educate patients and families on treatment processes and address questions or concerns
• Uphold infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times
• Participate in routine equipment checks and assist with quality assurance activities
