Qualifications & Experience:
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
- Valid state licensure as required
- Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Proven track record operating linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment
- Compassionate communication style with patients and their families
- Ability to coordinate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other clinical staff
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient schedules and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely
- Perform daily equipment QA and maintain proper function of therapy machines
- Monitor and assess patient condition before, during, and after treatments
- Record precise patient information and respond swiftly to any unusual reactions or side effects
- Uphold rigorous radiation safety standards and protocols for patients and staff
- Educate patients and families about treatment processes and post-care guidelines
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate on individualized care plans
