Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent)
- Active and unrestricted state license to practice as a Radiation Therapist
- At least one year of recent experience in a radiation therapy clinical environment
- Proficiency in operating linear accelerators and treatment planning systems
- Strong patient communication and education skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and nursing staff
- Attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and standard procedures
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate treatment setup for each session
- Operate all radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
- Monitor patients’ reactions to treatments, providing support and reporting significant changes to the care team
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
- Participate in quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines
- Support the ongoing education of patients and their families regarding procedures and aftercare
