Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent)
  • Active and unrestricted state license to practice as a Radiation Therapist
  • At least one year of recent experience in a radiation therapy clinical environment
  • Proficiency in operating linear accelerators and treatment planning systems
  • Strong patient communication and education skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and nursing staff
  • Attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and standard procedures
  • Verify patient identity and ensure accurate treatment setup for each session
  • Operate all radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively
  • Monitor patients’ reactions to treatments, providing support and reporting significant changes to the care team
  • Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
  • Participate in quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines
  • Support the ongoing education of patients and their families regarding procedures and aftercare
