Radiation Therapist - Pecos, New Mexico

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Radiation Therapist.
• Strong knowledge of treatment planning, dosimetry, and radiation safety protocols.
• Proven experience operating linear accelerators and relevant treatment equipment.
• Attention to detail with excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, function efficiently under pressure, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed courses of radiation therapy to patients in accordance with physician orders.
• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization protocols.
• Perform regular equipment safety checks and report issues as they arise.
• Document treatment delivery and maintain meticulous patient records.
• Provide clear instruction and emotional support to patients and families throughout the course of therapy.
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, physicists, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Monitor patient responses and communicate any concerns or side effects to the clinical team.
