Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Prepare and position patients for therapy sessions using immobilization devices and established protocols.
- Operate complex radiation equipment, perform quality assurance checks, and monitor equipment function.
- Maintain detailed, accurate treatment records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor patients during therapy, observe for any reactions, and provide compassionate, clear explanations to patients and families.
- Cooperate with physicians, physicists, nurses, and dosimetrists to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
- Support continuous improvement by participating in training and staying current with evolving techniques.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as required by the facility.
- Demonstrated experience operating radiation therapy equipment, ideally within a hospital or outpatient oncology setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient-centered care.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
