As a Radiation Therapist in a busy Cancer Services/Oncology division, you’ll be exposed to a variety of advanced technologies and a collaborative care environment. This travel position will expand your clinical expertise, especially through engagement with innovative equipment such as Ethos and Varian machines, and foster professional growth by working alongside a diverse team implementing cutting-edge cancer therapies. Floating across multiple Radiation Oncology locations will allow you to broaden your experience and learn from different leadership approaches and workplace cultures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week)
  • No Saturdays
  • Shift lengths may vary with department needs
  • Floating required across radiation oncology departments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NYS Radiologic Technologists Therapy License (required)
  • ARRT T and BLS certifications (required)
  • EPIC familiarity strongly desired
  • Experience on Ethos or Varian equipment is preferred
  • Adult acute care skills, with proficiency in custom molds, shields, tumor localization, and IMRT
  • Strong communication, reliability, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Willingness to collaborate and support colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer external beam and IMRT treatments following physician protocols
  • Perform tumor localization, custom casting, and shielding
  • Calculate radiation doses and operate imaging equipment (CBCT/kV/mV)
  • Observe safety procedures and participate in rapid response/code interventions as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient and procedural records using EPIC
