This role provides an outstanding opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, including Ethos and Varian machines, while serving adult acute care oncology patients. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll enhance your clinical expertise and build your resume through hands-on experience with advanced radiation therapy protocols and systems.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm shifts (5x8-Hour, 40 hours/week guaranteed)
- No Saturday shifts
- Floating required to other Radiation Oncology locations within the system
Preferred Qualifications:
- NYS Radiologic Technologists Therapy License (required)
- ARRT(T) and BLS certifications
- Experience with Ethos or Varian radiation therapy equipment preferred
- Proficiency in Adult Acute Care, Custom Molds/Blocks, Tumor Localization, External Beam Therapy, IMRT, Radiation Safety, and use of various imaging modalities
- EPIC documentation experience required
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, dependability, and flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily radiation treatments safely and accurately
- Perform tumor localization and develop patient-specific custom molds/shields
- Utilize advanced imaging for treatment planning and verification
- Maintain clear documentation and uphold strict radiation safety protocols
- Provide compassionate patient care and support, ensuring comfort and understanding of treatment processes
