Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments with meticulous attention to safety protocols and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists, nurses, and physicists to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Clearly explain treatment procedures and address patient questions or concerns to promote comfort and understanding.
  • Accurately document all treatments, patient responses, and equipment use in accordance with regulations and best practices.
  • Perform regular equipment checks and coordinate maintenance needs to uphold standards of care.
  • Safeguard patient privacy and maintain strict compliance with confidentiality laws.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT).
  • Valid licensure per state regulatory requirements.
  • Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient care setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with linear accelerators, simulation equipment, and electronic medical records.
  • Compassionate communication skills and the ability to deliver difficult information with empathy.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to ongoing professional learning.
