Schedule:
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday between 8:00am-7:00pm (varied hours per week)
- Weekends as needed
- Contract begins after 5/9
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, using safety protocols and specialized equipment.
- Consistently participate in quality control monitoring and daily warm-up procedures.
- Skillfully assess patients, perform procedures, and provide specialized care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Accurately document treatments and patient data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families about treatment, side effects, and use of specialized therapy aids.
- Adhere to safety standards, including using radiation safety badges and practicing universal precautions.
- Simulate new patient set-ups without error and manage patient scheduling with attention to communication.
- Serve as a clinical instructor, providing feedback to students and collaborating with the Clinical Advisor.
- Participate in on-call rotation and perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program (Associate’s degree or higher)
- ARRT-T (Radiation Therapy) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years’ radiation therapy experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to treat and simulate patients
