Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed radiation treatments with accuracy, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physicists, and other members of the oncology team to ensure optimal treatment delivery.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns to reduce anxiety.
  • Monitor and assess patient responses to treatments, reporting concerns or unusual reactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of delivered doses, schedules, and equipment usage.
  • Uphold all safety guidelines in radiation exposure to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Registered Radiation Therapist with current certification (ARRT or equivalent).
  • Active state licensure in Radiation Therapy, as applicable.
  • Proven experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills and patient-centered approach.
  • High attention to detail and critical-thinking ability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
