Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift: 5x8-Hour (08:00 – 17:00)
As a Radiation Therapist on this assignment, you’ll use your expertise to competently perform routine and specialized radiation treatments in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. This role empowers you to work independently, demonstrating sound judgment and advanced clinical skills, while gaining insights into diverse leadership approaches and treatment protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and safe radiation therapy per physician’s treatment plan.
- Operate and maintain complex radiation therapy equipment; document readings, coordinate adjustments or repairs.
- Follow departmental timelines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Prepare for and assist physicians with therapy and simulation procedures, ensuring patient comfort through effective communication and education.
- Mentor students and new therapists, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Perform clerical tasks such as updating appointment schedules and maintaining precise patient records within electronic health systems.
- Inventory and manage necessary supplies and accessories.
- Implement and uphold safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Qualifications:
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license.
- Prior experience as a Radiation Therapist highly desired.
