Deliver specialized patient care and technical expertise as a Radiation Therapist in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract role involves working within a collaborative medical team to administer radiation treatment, monitor patient condition, and ensure safe operation of complex therapeutic equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy
  • Active state licensure or eligibility as a Radiation Therapist
  • Experience in delivering external beam radiation treatments
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety practices and protocols
  • Excellent communication skills for patient instruction and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to accurately interpret and implement physicians’ treatment plans
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail

Schedule:

  • Full-time, contract basis

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and position patients for daily radiation treatments, ensuring both accuracy and comfort
  • Operate and monitor advanced linear accelerator and other radiation therapy equipment
  • Work closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists to confirm treatment plans
  • Observe and document patient reactions to therapy, reporting adverse effects according to protocol
  • Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records for each patient
  • Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary exposure
  • Provide empathetic support and clear communication to patients throughout their course of care
