Radiation Therapist | Trumansburg, New York

Step into a vital role delivering compassionate care as a Radiation Therapist, supporting patients and the team during FMLA coverage from 8/24 to 11/15. This contract opportunity offers a Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no call required—ensuring you can focus on what you do best in a consistent work environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification in Radiation Therapy
• Demonstrated experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Proficiency with Varian True Beam linear accelerator, Aria oncology information system, and AlignRT surface guidance preferred
• Ability to manage a daily caseload of approximately 20 patients
• Commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a positive, energetic attitude and ability to assimilate quickly into a close-knit team
• Professionalism in following dress code (any color scrubs permitted)

Core Responsibilities:

• Administer accurate and timely radiation treatments in accordance with physician directives and treatment plans
• Operate advanced radiation therapy equipment safely and efficiently
• Clearly communicate with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to foster a supportive environment
• Accurately document patient treatments and maintain up-to-date records in Aria
• Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists to ensure optimal care and patient safety
• Observe and address patient reactions to treatment, escalating concerns appropriately
