Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience operating linear accelerators and simulation equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of radiation oncology procedures, safety protocols, and patient care standards.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly with both patients and multidisciplinary staff.
  • Adaptability to workflow changes, such as new technologies or client processes.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Prior experience with patient assessment and daily treatment setup highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety.
  • Accurately position patients using imaging, immobilization devices, and electronic records.
  • Monitor treatment sessions, verify dosages, and document treatments per established protocols.
  • Provide patient education about procedures, answer questions, and address concerns compassionately.
  • Participate in team meetings to review cases, improve workflow, and incorporate process improvements—including client switch over.
  • Comply with all department policies, quality assurance standards, and infection control measures.
  • Support seamless transitions related to client switch over, ensuring continuity of care.
