Qualifications:
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
- Valid state licensure (if applicable by state regulations)
- Previous clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
- Detail-oriented with proficiency in EMR and treatment planning systems
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced clinical environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments with accuracy and safety
- Operate and calibrate linear accelerators and related radiologic equipment
- Monitor patient responses, observe for side effects, and report unusual reactions to medical staff
- Maintain thorough and accurate treatment documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and side effect management
- Work collaboratively with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to ensure treatment accuracy and patient well-being
- Uphold infection control standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
