Radiation Therapist | West Burke, Vermont

Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic oncology setting as a Radiation Therapist. Collaborate closely with physicians and medical staff to perform therapeutic radiation treatments following precise protocols and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications:

• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Valid state licensure (if applicable by state regulations)
• Previous clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in EMR and treatment planning systems
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced clinical environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments with accuracy and safety
• Operate and calibrate linear accelerators and related radiologic equipment
• Monitor patient responses, observe for side effects, and report unusual reactions to medical staff
• Maintain thorough and accurate treatment documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Provide clear instructions and education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and side effect management
• Work collaboratively with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to ensure treatment accuracy and patient well-being
• Uphold infection control standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
