Radiation Therapist in Westbrook, ME

Step into a vital role providing expert patient care as a Radiation Therapist during a short-term assignment covering a leave of absence in December, extending through the first week of the new year. This opportunity allows you to work with a progressive team in a facility that recently began offering Radiation Oncology services, equipped with a new Truebeam machine.

Schedule/Hours:

• Coverage needed from December 7th through the first week of January

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification and licensure as a Radiation Therapist
• Strong background in delivering radiation therapy to oncology patients
• Experience with the Truebeam platform and Aria record & verify system preferred
• Comfortable working in a newer environment that is still developing its clinical routines
• CT Simulation experience is appreciated but not required
• Effective communicator, collaborative approach to patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Truebeam radiation therapy equipment to accurately administer prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and other professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Adhere closely to department protocols and safety standards throughout patient set-up, treatment, and documentation
• Support the ongoing development of workflows and procedures as part of a recently established treatment program
• Provide compassionate care, address patient questions, and help ease concerns during therapy
