Radiation Therapist - Rochester, NY

A rewarding opportunity is available for skilled professionals trained in Radiation Therapy to join a busy oncology team. This full-time contract role focuses on providing compassionate, expert care to patients undergoing radiation treatments, utilizing advanced Varian and EPIC systems.

Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm (8-hour shifts, may vary depending on department needs)
• Floating required to other Radiation Oncology locations as necessary

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Current certification by ARRT (Radiation Therapy)
• Demonstrated experience operating Varian equipment
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to provide safe, precise technical care under pressure
• Previous clinical experience in Cancer Services/Oncology settings is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver precise radiation therapy to oncology patients in accordance with prescribed treatment plans
• Operate and maintain sophisticated treatment planning and delivery equipment
• Accurately document treatments and communicate patient progress in the EMR
• Uphold safety standards for patients and staff regarding radiation exposure
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, physicists, nurses, and support personnel
• Provide patient support and education regarding procedures and follow-up care
• Adapt to floating assignments at any site within the Radiation Oncology network
