Radiation Therapist - Rockford, IL

A Radiation Therapist is needed for a contract position in Rockford, IL, at a cancer center treating 64-68 patients daily using two advanced treatment units. The role requires independence, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a mid-to-large hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver precise radiation therapy to 64-68 patients daily using two linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE)
• Operate ARIA record and verify system, anticipating an upgrade to version 18.1
• Manage patient treatment schedules and adapt hours as needed based on patient volume
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and treatment plans
• Work independently while efficiently multitasking in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications and Experience

• Radiation Therapist certification from ARRT and IEMA required
• Illinois state license must be current at application submission
• Experience with mid-to-large hospital systems
• Proficient with linear accelerators and ARIA record and verify software
• Ability to comply with a 60-mile radius rule for local candidates

Schedule/Hours

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with some flexibility based on patient volume
