Radiation Therapist in Rockford, IL

Step into a dynamic clinical environment dedicated to precision patient care as a Radiation Therapist. This role supports a busy cancer center, providing expert radiation therapy for a diverse patient population, using state-of-the-art technology and collaborating with a skilled multidisciplinary team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm (flexible hours based on patient volumes)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments for 64-68 patients daily, utilizing two Varian linear accelerators (TrueBeam and EDGE)
• Efficiently manage independent workflows, multi-tasking to maintain a high standard of patient-centered care
• Accurately document patient information using the ARIA record and verify system, with a transition to v18.1 upcoming
• Collaborate with the oncology team to ensure precise and safe delivery of treatment protocols
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines and institutional policies

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Radiation Therapy License (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Current certification with ARRT and IEMA
• Previous experience in mid-to-large hospital settings required
• Knowledge of and comfort with two Varian linear accelerators and ARIA software
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility
