Deliver essential cancer care as a skilled radiation therapy professional at a busy cancer center equipped with two advanced Varian linear accelerators (TrueBeam and EDGE). This contract role runs for 13 weeks and offers a dynamic environment where autonomy, sharp multitasking skills, and experience in mid-to-large hospital settings are paramount. You’ll serve an average daily patient load of 64–68, ensuring timely, compassionate care while navigating sophisticated equipment and software.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm
  • Flexible hours based on patient volume

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver precise radiation therapy treatments utilizing Varian TrueBeam and EDGE linear accelerators
  • Maintain accurate records using ARIA Record & Verify system (upgrade to v18.1 scheduled soon)
  • Manage a high-volume caseload, working independently while balancing multiple tasks
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, medical physicists, and other care team members
  • Uphold stringent safety standards and regulatory practices

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
  • IEMA Radiation Therapy accreditation
  • Valid Illinois state license (must be in hand at time of application)
  • Hands-on experience in mid- to large-sized hospitals
  • Proficiency with linear accelerator technology, especially Varian platforms
  • Familiarity with ARIA electronic medical record and verification systems
  • Able to adapt quickly to evolving technology and workflow updates
  • Applicants must reside at least 60 miles outside the immediate area
