Radiation Therapist in Rockford, IL

This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise as a Radiation Therapist in a dynamic cancer center setting. You will be responsible for delivering precise and compassionate care to approximately 64-68 patients daily, utilizing two state-of-the-art linear accelerators. The position requires a high degree of independence and the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation treatments using Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE linear accelerators.
• Accurately document treatments utilizing ARIA record and verify system, transitioning to version 18.1.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Manage patient scheduling and treatment planning within clinic hours.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Radiation Therapist certification from ARRT and IEMA.
• Valid Illinois state license obtained prior to application.
• Proven experience working in mid- to large-sized hospital settings.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Familiarity with ARIA electronic medical records and treatment planning software.
• Comfortable managing high patient volume and complex workflows.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (flexibility depending on patient volume).
