Radiation Therapist | Rockford, Illinois

Make a significant impact in patient care while working with advanced technology as a skilled Radiation Therapist. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks in a dynamic oncology setting, treating 64-68 patients daily on two treatment units. You will join a dedicated team providing essential care with the latest technology, including two linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE), and will take part in a system upgrade to ARIA 18.1 at the end of the month.

Schedule/Hours:

• Clinic operates Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 5:30pm
• Flexibility in work hours based on patient volumes

Qualifications:

• Current Radiation Therapy certification from ARRT and IEMA
• Active Illinois license (must be in hand at time of application)
• Previous experience in mid- to large-sized hospitals
• Proficiency with linear accelerators, specifically Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE
• Strong understanding of ARIA record and verify (familiarity with system upgrades a plus)
• Ability to deliver compassionate, efficient, and precise care while working independently and multi-tasking throughout the day
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility (no local candidates)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic radiation treatments according to physician orders and protocols
• Accurately document all treatments in ARIA, maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
• Adapt to clinic workflow changes with upcoming system upgrades
• Effectively manage high patient volumes on a daily basis while prioritizing quality and patient safety
• Foster a positive, patient-focused environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
