Radiation Therapist | Rockford, Illinois

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional with experience in Radiation Therapy to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced oncology environment. This contract role focuses on delivering therapeutic radiation treatments to a significant patient volume each day, utilizing advanced equipment and technology to ensure precise and effective care.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm (flexible hours based on patient volume)

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification in Radiation Therapy from ARRT and IEMA
• Active Illinois state license (must be obtained prior to start)
• Recent experience in mid- to large-sized hospital settings preferred
• Proficient in working with 2 linear accelerators (Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE)
• Familiarity with ARIA record and verify systems; readiness to operate v18.1 after upgrade
• Comfortable managing the treatment of 64-68 patients daily across two units
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently multitask

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy according to physician directives and established protocols
• Accurately document and verify treatments in ARIA electronic systems
• Monitor patient responses, provide information, and offer compassionate support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated oncology care
• Maintain equipment and safety standards, adhering to the latest updates in technology

Additional Details:

• 13-week contract duration
• Candidates must be located at least 60 miles from the facility
