Radiation Therapist in Rockford, IL

Step into an impactful role providing exceptional care as a Radiation Therapist within a leading cancer center. This contract opportunity involves engaging work with two state-of-the-art linear accelerators—Varian TrueBeam and Varian EDGE—supporting the needs of 64-68 patients daily. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of independence, adaptability, and confidence in multitasking in a fast-paced clinical setting. This assignment spans 13 weeks and offers an excellent avenue to expand your professional expertise among skilled healthcare colleagues.

Schedule/Hours:

• Clinic operates Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm
• Flexible hours based on patient volumes

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Radiation Therapy certification from ARRT and IEMA
• Active Illinois license (must be secured before application)
• Previous experience in mid- to large-sized hospital environments
• Familiarity with ARIA record and verify system; readiness for system upgrade to v18.1
• Proficient in working independently and juggling multiple responsibilities
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius from the facility

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments using advanced linear accelerators
• Deliver compassionate care and detailed instruction to a diverse patient population
• Manage treatment documentation and scheduling using ARIA systems
• Collaborate closely with oncology staff and technical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
