Radiation Therapist - Roscoe, Illinois

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Radiation Therapist to provide specialized care in a busy clinic setting. The role is suited for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, as you will support radiation oncology services for 64-68 patients daily, utilizing two treatment units at a cancer center. The contract position requires adaptability, strong multitasking ability, and the expertise to work both independently and collaboratively.

Schedule:

• Clinic closure on holidays will not reduce guaranteed hours

Qualifications:

• Current certification in Radiation Therapy from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Active IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) Radiation credential
• Demonstrated experience in mid-large hospital or clinical environments
• Proficient in delivering patient care within a radiation oncology department
• Ability to work efficiently with high patient volume and adapt to changing needs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients under the supervision of a radiation oncologist
• Operate and manage treatment units and equipment with precision and safety
• Accurately verify patient identity, treatment sites, and prescribed treatment plans before each session
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and report any concerns or complications promptly
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of each treatment session
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards within the radiation clinic environment
• Support a collaborative clinical team, demonstrating professionalism at all times
