Qualifications:
- Current certification in Radiation Therapy from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Active IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) Radiation credential
- Demonstrated experience in mid-large hospital or clinical environments
- Proficient in delivering patient care within a radiation oncology department
- Ability to work efficiently with high patient volume and adapt to changing needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to patients under the supervision of a radiation oncologist
- Operate and manage treatment units and equipment with precision and safety
- Accurately verify patient identity, treatment sites, and prescribed treatment plans before each session
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and report any concerns or complications promptly
- Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of each treatment session
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards within the radiation clinic environment
- Support a collaborative clinical team, demonstrating professionalism at all times
