Key Qualifications:

  • Active certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT required)
  • Demonstrated experience operating radiation therapy equipment in a clinical environment
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and treatment planning protocols
  • Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Current BLS certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed courses of radiation therapy to patients in accordance with physicians’ instructions
  • Prepare and position patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process
  • Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on radiation therapy equipment
  • Document treatments accurately in patient records and communicate effectively with oncologists and other care providers
  • Monitor patients for unexpected reactions and respond appropriately
  • Enforce rigorous safety standards to protect patients, colleagues, and self
