Step into a key clinical role providing top-tier radiation therapy within a modern, well-equipped cancer center. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic outpatient clinic environment, treating a diverse patient population across two advanced treatment units, with daily caseloads averaging 64-68 patients. As a Radiation Therapist, your expertise will directly support patient care and therapeutic outcomes in a collaborative oncology setting.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Typical clinic hours, with coverage needed on weekdays
  • Guaranteed hours exclude closure days for holidays

Qualifications:

  • Current certification in Radiation Therapy from the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Valid IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) Radiation credential
  • Proven experience working in mid- to large-sized hospitals or cancer centers
  • Familiarity with Varian Edge/Aria systems highly preferred
  • Ability to manage high daily patient volumes independently and effectively multitask
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer prescribed radiation treatments with precision, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times
  • Operate Varian Edge/Aria treatment units, accurately following clinical protocols
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, dosimetrists, and oncology nurses to support integrated patient care
  • Maintain meticulous treatment records and patient documentation
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and address questions to alleviate concerns
  • Troubleshoot and report any technical issues with equipment or workflow efficiently
  • Uphold all safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards
