Schedule:

• 16-week assignment
• 8-hour day shifts

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active MN RN license or MN Temp Permit-RN
• Current BLS certification required
• PEARS or PALS certification
• Completed Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Course through APHON or equivalent within the last 5 years
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with pediatric hematology/oncology patients

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients before, during, and after chemotherapy or infusion therapies
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications with precision and safety
• Vigilantly monitor for side effects or adverse reactions, intervening appropriately
• Safely manage central lines including ports and PICCs
• Provide comfort measures and manage symptoms such as pain, nausea, and fatigue
• Educate families and patients about treatment plans, side effects, and home-care management
• Deliver emotional support to children and their caregivers during challenging treatments
• Collaborate closely with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner, ensuring compliance and quality of care
