Radiation Therapist in Shawnee, KS

In this contract opportunity, you'll utilize your expertise in radiation therapy to provide compassionate and precise treatments to individuals in need. Schedule:

• 13-week assignment
• Monday to Friday
• 7:30am - 4:00pm
• Five 8-hour shifts

Qualifications:

• Current certification through ARRT(T) required
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid Kansas state license as a Radiation Therapist
• Demonstrated proficiency in safe administration of radiation therapy treatments
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted radiation treatments according to physician orders and treatment plans
• Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately
• Maintain meticulous patient records and document all procedures appropriately
• Assess and monitor patients for side effects or adverse reactions, reporting changes promptly
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective care
• Provide education and support to patients and their families about treatment processes and expectations
• Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
