Radiation Therapist - Stephens City, VA

Deliver vital, compassionate care to oncology patients as a skilled Radiation Therapist. This contract opportunity involves collaborating closely with the radiation oncology team to ensure precise and effective treatment delivery within a supportive and technologically advanced environment. You’ll work with state-of-the-art equipment including Truebeam and Halcyon systems and utilize Aria for record and verify processes.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (5x8-hour shifts)

Key Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Radiation Therapist license (must be in hand for consideration)
• Proven experience with Radiation Therapy equipment and procedures
• Familiarity with Truebeam and Halcyon linear accelerators
• Proficiency with Aria record/verify system
• Ability to assist with Brachytherapy procedures
• Understanding of treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Strong critical thinking skills for triaging patients and collaborating with clinical staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver daily radiation treatments in line with physician prescriptions and oncologist guidance
• Accurately interpret treatment plans and ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Perform patient simulations and support students during clinical instruction
• Assist in complex procedures, including brachytherapy and treatment planning activities
• Monitor patient responses, triage those with greater needs, and refer to nursing when necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold facility safety protocols
