Make an impact in cancer care by providing advanced radiation therapy services. This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Radiation Therapist skilled in using Truebeam and Halcyon, with experience navigating Aria for Record/Verify. The position will play a vital role supporting daily treatment, simulations, and brachytherapy procedures under the supervision of a radiation oncologist. Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (5x8s)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate radiation treatments per oncologist’s orders.
  • Perform and document simulations and brachytherapy procedures.
  • Assist with all aspects of treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry.
  • Interpret and implement physicians’ prescriptions and instructions for individualized care.
  • Triage sick patients to nursing for immediate evaluation.
  • Offer clinical instruction and mentorship to radiation therapy students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and valid Virginia (VA) Radiation Therapy License (required at the time of application).
  • Proficient with Truebeam and Halcyon linear accelerators, and ARIA record/verify system.
  • Previous experience as a Radiation Therapist delivering daily patient care in a clinical oncology setting.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in patient-facing interactions.

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
