Radiation Therapist in Webster, NY

A dynamic opportunity is available for professionals specializing in Radiation Therapy to contribute their expertise within the Cancer Services/Oncology specialty. This full-time role involves a 13-week contract supporting the Radiation Therapy Tech unit, with a focus on delivering precise radiation treatments to oncology patients. Utilizing advanced Varian equipment and EPIC electronic health records, you will play a key role in patient care and treatment delivery across multiple Radiation Oncology locations.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
• 8-hour shifts, dependent upon department needs
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Floating to all Radiation Oncology sites as necessary

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Demonstrated skills in Radiation Therapy technology and protocols
• Proficiency using Varian systems and EPIC for patient management and documentation
• Relevant certifications and licensure to practice as a Radiation Therapist
• Ability to work full time during the assignment duration

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation treatments to oncology patients with a high level of precision and care
• Operate and calibrate Varian linear accelerators and imaging equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and nurses for comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate, detailed treatment records in EPIC
• Float between various Radiation Oncology service locations as required
• Adhere strictly to safety, quality, and confidentiality standards
