Radiation Therapist | Winchester, Virginia

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8’s)

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Radiation Therapy License (required for consideration)
• Demonstrated proficiency with Truebeam, Halcyon, and Aria systems
• Strong background in delivery of therapeutic radiation in accordance with physician prescription
• Experience supporting Brachytherapy procedures preferred
• Ability to assist in treatment planning, tumor localization, and dosimetry
• Capability to provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students is a plus
• Compassionate, detail-oriented approach to daily patient care

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients precisely and safely
• Accurately interpret and execute radiation oncologist prescriptions and instructions
• Perform simulations and support students in a clinical instruction setting as needed
• Participate in Brachytherapy procedures and assist with technical aspects as required
• Collaborate in treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry tasks
• Assess patient responses and triage sick patients to nursing staff for evaluation
• Maintain thorough and accurate treatment records and ensure compliance with safety protocols

$2,420 - $2,560/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
