This role as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is crafted for professionals eager to expand their expertise in critical care. Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 6:30pm–7:00am

Qualifications and Preferred Background:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and RCP license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (instructor certifications a plus)
  • NRP certification (or provisional within 180 days)
  • At least 6 months of critical care experience
  • Solid clinical, assessment, and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communicator able to work well with interdisciplinary teams
  • Pediatric, Emergency Department, and Critical Care experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced respiratory care in complex, multi-problem situations, often with independent management
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on protocol-driven ventilator management, assessment, and therapy planning
  • Administer aerosolized medications, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion therapies, and perform airway management
  • Mentor and educate patients, families, new employees, and students
  • Maintain and promote a safe, high-quality patient environment, complying with documentation standards
