Qualifications:

  • Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current certification or license as required
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques, equipment, and protocols
  • Prior experience in acute care or clinical settings preferred
  • Excellent communication and patient assessment skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures in accordance with physician orders
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory care plans, equipment use, and health management
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all care provided and response to interventions
  • Operate ventilators, oxygen delivery devices, aerosols, and other specialized respiratory equipment
  • Participate in emergency response situations, including code blue or rapid response events
  • Adhere strictly to infection control and safety standards
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary patient care planning and quality improvement initiatives
