Qualifications & Experience

• Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC
• Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• BLS certification (and ACLS preferred)
• Previous acute care or hospital experience in respiratory therapy
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team

Schedule

• Full-time, rotating shifts (including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by department needs)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions for patients of all ages
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to develop and implement effective respiratory care plans
• Operate, monitor, and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety at all times
• Administer various respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, mechanical ventilation, and airway management
• Document treatments, assessments, and patient responses clearly and timely in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in emergency response situations, code blues, and rapid response teams when needed
