Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Valid certification/licensure to practice in WA (or ability to obtain before start)
  • Proven experience in acute care, emergency, or critical care settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols, equipment, and patient safety practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and administer respiratory therapy to patients of varying acuity
  • Operate and monitor ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory equipment
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
  • Accurately document therapy provided and patient response
