Qualifications:
- Current, valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Active Respiratory Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure) in Connecticut
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of one year recent acute care experience preferred
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective respiratory care to patients—neonatal to geriatric
- Monitor and operate ventilators and related life-support equipment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform diagnostic tests and manage therapeutic procedures
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and equipment use
- Maintain accurate, timely records consistent with facility protocols
