Required Qualifications:
- Current Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Previous experience in adult critical care settings
- Solid understanding of respiratory therapies, procedures, and emergency interventions
- Competence with Hamilton ventilators is strongly preferred
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- Valid state licensure as required by practice regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to acute and critically ill adult patients
- Assess patient status, develop care plans, and adjust interventions as patient needs evolve
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including advanced ventilators
- Precisely document assessments, therapies, and outcomes within the EPIC system
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergent situations, providing airway management and resuscitation when necessary
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding respiratory therapies
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure the highest standard of patient care
