Bring your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist to a vital role dedicated to supporting adult critical care patients. This contract opportunity requires coverage of three 12-hour night shifts per week in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Schedule Details:

  • 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Previous experience in adult critical care settings
  • Solid understanding of respiratory therapies, procedures, and emergency interventions
  • Competence with Hamilton ventilators is strongly preferred
  • Experience with EPIC charting preferred
  • Valid state licensure as required by practice regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to acute and critically ill adult patients
  • Assess patient status, develop care plans, and adjust interventions as patient needs evolve
  • Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including advanced ventilators
  • Precisely document assessments, therapies, and outcomes within the EPIC system
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to emergent situations, providing airway management and resuscitation when necessary
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding respiratory therapies
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure the highest standard of patient care
