As a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Therapy department, you’ll collaborate with a diverse multidisciplinary team and care for a wide range of patients — from NICU newborns to geriatric adults — ensuring every day delivers valuable challenges and fresh learning opportunities. Schedule & Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (6-6)
- Self-scheduling and block options available
- Must attend one department meeting per month
- Every other weekend rotation
- May work holidays if needed
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT)
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- STABLE and NRP required for those handling NICU patients
- At least one year of respiratory therapist experience (first-time travelers are welcome)
- Prior NICU experience
Responsibilities:
- ABG draws and analysis, breathing treatments, BiPAP/CPAP/ventilator management
- Assist with intubations and place LMAs as needed
- Provide respiratory care in ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, small Peds unit, NICU, and ER
- Float between units (ICU, floors, NICU, ER) as needed
- Work as part of a team and possibly serve as charge therapist based on experience
