Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel contract role, flexible shift availability

Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
  • Previous experience in pediatric respiratory care preferred
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Proficient with ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV, and advanced airway management
  • Able to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams

Position Responsibilities:

  • Administer medicated aerosol therapies, including small volume and vibrating mesh nebulizers
  • Perform airway clearance techniques such as clapping, PEP, and high-frequency chest wall oscillation
  • Manage airway responsibilities: tracheostomy care, suctioning, manual and ventilator-assisted ventilation, and NAVA
  • Support high-risk deliveries (NRP protocol, intubation, surfactant administration, T-piece ventilation)
  • Conduct blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
  • Provide humidity therapy and adhere to clinical practice guidelines for asthma, CF, and RDS management
  • Monitor patients via oximetry, capnography, and spontaneous breathing trials
  • Participate in patient transport, including with advanced ventilation or the Neonatal Rapid Response Team
  • Oversee oxygen and special gas therapy including nitric oxide and heliox administration
  • Ensure thorough sanitation of equipment
