Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Valid state respiratory care license (or eligibility)
  • BLS and NRP certification required
  • Experience with pediatric respiratory care preferred
  • Proficiency in advanced respiratory procedures and therapies
  • Strong communication and patient education skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including medicated aerosol therapy, mechanical ventilation, airway management, and advanced airway clearance techniques
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
  • Manage mechanical ventilation modes, including CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV and NAVA
  • Support patients during high-risk deliveries, provide surfactant administration, and follow NRP protocols
  • Monitor and document patient progress using clinical practice guidelines, asthma care path, oxygen and special gas therapies
  • Assist with pediatric transports, including MRI and internal transport with assisted ventilation
  • Participate in Neonatal Rapid Response Team and follow hospital and regulatory guidelines for patient safety and quality care
  • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality
