Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Valid, unencumbered state license as required by assignment
• Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Strong skills in assessment, diagnostic testing, and respiratory interventions
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures and obtain arterial blood gases
• Oversee respiratory equipment operation for optimal patient care
• Initiate and monitor respiratory protocols and interventions based on assessment findings
• Safely administer medications and monitor patient response
• Communicate ongoing patient status and recommendations to interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and self-management strategies
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and productivity reporting
• Participate actively in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Mentor CRT staff and participate in departmental improvement projects
• Support department needs through possible floating or on-call assignment
