Schedule/Hours:
- Travel position, schedule determined upon assignment
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program with active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- BLS certification (within 90 days of hire)
- NRP certification (within 6 months)
- Minimum of one year of hospital-based respiratory experience
- Familiarity with pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac diagnostic procedures preferred
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screen, and health assessment
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, competent respiratory care and verify physician orders
- Monitor and manage mechanical ventilation, interpret blood work, and assess patients across all ages
- Document all procedures accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records
- Troubleshoot and maintain respiratory care instruments and equipment
- Mentor new staff and students; participate in training and orientation
- Assist with airway management and arterial blood gas draws
- Engage in departmental meetings, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance activities
