Schedule/Hours:

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Active certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Valid respiratory care practitioner license (Louisiana or eligible for reciprocity)
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, and apply appropriate therapy interventions
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in fast-paced situations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory care, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, inhalation treatments, airway management, and arterial blood gas analysis
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to formulate and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to therapies based on changing clinical needs
- Provide patient and family education regarding respiratory treatments and self-care strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Ensure all equipment and procedures adhere to current infection control guidelines and industry best practices
